LIGHt, Color, Mood, Frame Composition, Continuity, visual Storytelling
My name is Sergio Graña, I'm a lighting student based in Barcelona. My passion is to use cinematography as a mean to convey exciting and powerful images that tell a story in a visual way.
ABOUT ME

SKILLS
I’m currently in my senior year of the Animation & VFX undergraduate at La Salle Universitat Ramon Llull studying while I finish my final graduation project, a 2 min short film done by 15 people where I work as the director of the piece and as the Lighting lead.
I have a broad knowledge of the CGI pipeline, but also a solid foundation in traditional art. I have studied Figure Drawing for 3 years in academies like Capilano University in Canada and the Barcelona Academy of Art. Nowadays, I try to practice as often as I can to further develop my artistic potential.
My capabilities include skills like storyboarding and digital sculpture and I have wide experience with softwares like Maya, ZBrush, Photoshop and Nuke. But my biggest passion, and what I aspire to do professionally is without a doubt lighting. Using light to create interesting moods and direct the attention of the viewer, creating interesting scenes with a balanced composition and harmonic colors is what I enjoy the most.
I'm incredibly passionate about movies, videogames and animation in general, which has made me develope a deep love in storytelling and has inspired me to want to create and find my own voice.
